A Compact Filter and Dipole Antenna With Its Phased Array Filtenna and ADMM-BO Learning for Use-Case Analog/Hybrid Beamforming in 5G mmWave Communications

In this article, a 5G compact millimeter-wave dipole antenna with high gain and its array filter-antenna is proposed, following theoretical discussion proposed. To increase the focused mainbeam, double inserted at ground plane. The results show that proposed has an impedance band-width (IBW) of around 7.14% 6.7 dBi 28 GHz. Next, filter 4% IBW lower than 0.6 dB insertion loss. A simple phase-shifter 2-bit structure designed in 8-elemens $0.35\lambda $ spacing between two elements which uses meander-line to reduce mutual-coupling. First, phased-array filtenna (filter-antenna) fabricated meet analog beamforming challenge. IBWs are approximately 3.5% 15 dBi. Second, novel machine learning method as alternating direction multipliers Bayesian Optimization (ADMM-BO) used hybrid for such partially-connected structures. Simulation measurement have acceptable data rates. data-rates reach 100 Mb/s SNRs higher 10 dB. amount 0 SNR 75 Mb/s. These also indicate mainbeam shift range [−50°, 50°] variations 1.5 side lobe level (SLL) about −10 50°.
